Included is a cedar barrel sauna with a wood-fired stove, the traditional Scandinavian way of bathing and is the only bathing option on site. A hot sauna followed by a cold rinse will leave you feeling refreshed and cleaner than you would in a shower. The sauna also features a hot water tank on the wood stove and a handcrafted "shower bucket". For the truly brave at heart, try a cold plunge in the river or even snow angels! The outhouse is 'the nicest outhouse available' and the only bathroom facility on the premises. While the word inspires negative connotations, this is a properly ventilated, cedar-walled building that, we think you'll agree, is nicer than many traditional bathrooms. It even has a propane heater! This isn't just a place to stay, but an experience you won't soon forget.
